More AEW names set to be involved with the upcoming meeting regarding CM Punk’s future with the company have been revealed.
Amid speculation about CM Punk’s AEW return, it was previously reported that an AEW meeting is planned with Punk and Chris Jericho set to attend.
Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and a ‘non-wrestler personality’, in addition to AEW President Tony Khan, will be in this meeting.
Meltzer shared the following update:
There is a meeting scheduled soon in AEW with Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Tony Khan, FTR and perhaps one other non-wrestler personality. There is a lot more to this but it has to play out.
Punk hasn’t appeared for AEW since he was suspended following a backstage altercation that took place following his verbal tirade at the All Out media scrum last September.
Dax Harwood recently stated that CM Punk does miss wrestling, before reports emerged stating that Punk is willing to make an AEW return.
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
