AEW has filed two trademark applications that likely hint at a new wrestler with an arguably intriguing name.
Both trademarks were filed on September 5, 2024, by Bradley M. Stohry of Reichel Stohry Dean LLP for All Elite Wrestling LLC.
First up, the United States Patent & Trademark Office has an entry for the term EL CLON under the description:
Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer
A separate application has also been filed for the term THE CLONE with the same class of ‘goods and services’.
At the time of writing, no name or purpose is known for either EL CLON or THE CLONE.
WrestleTalk will keep its readers updated when more details emerge.
