AEW Name Signs New Deal

AEW Name Signs New Deal AEW

An AEW/ROH name has confirmed that they have re-signed with the company, having previously signed a multi-year deal in July 2023.

Ian Riccaboni was long associated with Ring of Honor before Tony Khan acquired the company in 2022, and would go on to perform occasional commentary duties in AEW.

The veteran voice has now confirmed that he has signed a new deal via his own BlueSky account, stating:

“Re-signed with AEW/ROH. Very grateful and excited for what is to come!

“Celebrated by eating some hot dogs at the IronPigs at various points since reaching an agreement which was a while ago at this point so a lot of hot dogs for me & my family.

“AEW Dynamite #300 is TOMORROW!

“See you in California!”

A follow-up post would confirm that Riccaboni would be the voice of ROH “all the time”, taking on AEW duties as required, stating:

“And to answer someone’s question: this changes nothing. ROH all the time, AEW when the moment calls.

“Unless the company is looking to reboot the gameshows Studs or Street Smarts, business as usual.”

Riccaboni would also reveal that he intends to continue his community work with Salisbury Youth Association, thanks to the new deal, writing:

“Holy smokes. A little overwhelmed by the response.

“The generosity in this deal will be paid forward: part of this will continue to go toward Salisbury Youth Association as part of a community effort to reduce or eliminate cost as a barrier for kids to play sports like we did for baseball.”

Discussing his original contract under Tony Khan, Riccaboni described the opportunity as a “dream come true” and went on to hint that he may release his wrestling journal at a later date.
