Plans for a new AEW faction led by a top star have potentially been revealed courtesy of a new backstage report.
According to Fightful Select, the Renegade Twins (Charlette Renegade & Robyn Renegade) were present backstage at AEW Dynamite last week in Huntsville, AL (January 29).
According to the report, the Renegade Twins have “been long discussed” for a “potential integration” with TBS Mercedes Mone, suggesting that the CEO is perhaps primed to lead a faction of sorts with the pair.
Mone is currently a triple title holder, having captured the AEW TBS Championship, NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
The Renegade Twins were last seen together in Ring of Honor in 2023, with Robyn Renegade continuing to compete in ROH/AEW whilst sister Charlette was out of action due to what she referred to as a “small incident”.
Charlette was previously spotted backstage in July 2024 with reports at the time stating she was working to get cleared to return to in-ring action. She did not end up returning until November 2024 via Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling in Georgia.
