An update has emerged on ticket sales for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023, following a ‘massive’ pre-sale, and now the general release.
The second AEW and NJPW crossover event will take place on June 25, when top stars from each promotion will face off at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
It was previously reported by PWInsider that 11,000-12,000 tickets were shifted for the event during the pre-sale earlier this week, with Dave Meltzer later noting that the show had earned more than $1 million dollars Canadian in the pre-sale alone.
We now have more details on today’s general release, with little over 100 regularly-priced tickets available at the time of the general release.
Resale tickets (tickets being resold by individual sellers) have now been added back to the arena map, with WrestleTix showing that over 2000 of the tickets previously purchased are being resold through Ticketmaster.
It is worth noting that as these tickets have already been sold through the box office, they still count as tickets distributed.
As of writing, no matches have been announced for the event.
While there has been some speculation that IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone will make her AEW debut at this event, some have also predicted that the former ‘Sasha Banks’ might return to WWE before then.
