Several AEW Stars Win Championships At Wrestle Dynasty 2025

Here’s what happened at the January 5 Wrestle Dynasty event, featuring stars from NJPW, AEW, ROH, CMLL and STARDOM.

With Wrestle Dynasty taking place in the Tokyo Dome one night after NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19, many fans had their eyes on this event to see how the dust settled.

This show featured several title changes, with Mercedes Mone notably defeating Mina Shirakawa in their NJPW STRONG Women’s & RevPro British Women’s double title match to walk away with both championships.

AEW stars were also victorious in the IWGP Tag Team Championship match, with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of the Young Bucks defeating Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb, and Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi to claim the vacant gold.

Elsewhere on the card, AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita defended both his AEW International and NJPW NEVER Openweight titles against Tomohiro Ishii. Yota Tsuji also defeated AEW’s Jack Perry to retain his IWGP Global Championship, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara bested House Of Torture to keep their ROH tag titles, and Zack Sabre Jr forced Ricochet to submit to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
