NJPW
NJPW has announced a first-time-ever milestone for their upcoming show taking place in January of next year.
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 takes place on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome, marking the twentieth show to bear that name and the thirty-fifth to take place on that date at the iconic venue.
With the show seeing AEW well represented by Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita, a new announcement has revealed that NJPW has sold out the event.
The NJPW Global Twitter account confirmed the sell out status of the show in a post earlier today that reads:
“🎉THANK YOU!🎉
“January 4 2026
“Wrestle Kingdom 20 in the Tokyo Dome
“We are officially…
“SOLD OUT!”
The official NJPW website would provide further details, revealing that “all seating options, including outfield seats” have sold out.
As noted by NJPW, the January 4 2026, event marks the first time that Wrestle Kingdom has sold out since its inception.
Wrestle Kingdom 20 will feature the final match in the career of Hiroshi Tanahashi, who will face Kazuchika Okada.
Takeshita will put his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line against IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji in a Winner Takes All match.
