Former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara has shared his honest thoughts on the upcoming AEW house shows.

AEW recently announced a House Rules tour, which will kick off with an untelevised event in Troy, Ohio on March 18.

With WWE hosting house shows all year round, the debate about whether house shows are a positive or negative for promotions overall is hardly new. While some AEW stars are looking forward to the opportunity to gain more experience on the road, house show circuits have previously been criticised for not allowing talent to rest after TV tapings.

Speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm for the Sportster, Sammy Guevara revealed that he’s not interested in working any house shows, pointing out that without them, he can perform crazy spots in major matches, knowing that he’ll have time to recover afterwards.

Wanting to be kept off house shows, Guevara said:

“On the house shows, you can keep me off those. I’m trying not to have to take bumps, Okay?

“When I do take bumps. As you see, it’s been (in scenarios like) a crazy Ladder Match, and then you can keep me off for a little bit.

“I don’t want to bump often. But when I do, I want to make it crazy, so keep me off those.”

Guevara last wrestled on the March 1 edition of Dynamite, competing in the eight-man Face of the Revolution ladder match which was ultimately won by Powerhouse Hobbs.
