AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has addressed the possibility of him stepping into the ring following his previous physical segments.
With Tony Khan attacked by The Elite on the April 24 Dynamite episode, there has been some speculation about the AEW boss having a one-off match.
While Khan previously stated that he was not interested in wrestling when creating the company, rumors have been swirling about Khan eventually competing in one bout.
Speaking on Levack and Goz, Tony Khan stated that he doesn’t think his AEW debut is on the card.
Explaining why he doesn’t want to wrestle, Khan explained:
“I still don’t think that is in the cards, but a lot of the best wrestlers in the world are in AEW.
“‘Where the best wrestle’ is our tagline, and I want to keep it that way and keep myself out of the ring.”
AEW is currently building to this month’s Full Gear pay-per-view, where Orange Cassidy will challenge for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship.
This pay-per-view will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on November 23.
