An update has emerged on Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of the Young Bucks, following their AEW Tag Team Championship loss.
Following 192 days as champions, the Young Bucks put their gold on the line against Private Party on Wednesday’s (October 30) Dynamite episode.
The challengers were ultimately victorious, winning the gold from the Jackson brothers, who uncharacteristically handed the duo the gold following the bout.
Following Bryan Alvarez reporting that Nicholas Jackson has been dealing with a separated shoulder injury, a new update has emerged on the future of the Young Bucks.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this title change marked “the end of the current Young Bucks storyline”. It was noted that the duo are not planned to return to AEW TV for “some time”.
The report clarified that the duo are NOT done with AEW, with it pointed out that they’re still under contract with the company.
Many have noted that this title change was five years in the making, following Private Party initially scoring an upset victory over the Young Bucks on the October 9, 2019 Dynamite episode.
Tony Khan has now addressed Private Party winning the AEW Tag Team Championship, which you can read more about right here.
