AEW reportedly has two “legitimate” TV deals on the table, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Meltzer states that both deals – regardless of which one AEW chooses to sign – represents the best TV deal for a non-WWE wrestling show since WCW, specifying that they are both far better than Spike TV which previously hosted Impact Wrestling.
It is noted that while both appealing deals are on the table, nothing has officially been signed yet.
Meltzer stated:
“AEW had a TV meeting [yesterday] that went real well, I heard. There’s still no deal signed, but I think everyone knows that there’s going to be a very legit deal because there’s two of them on the table. It’s real money, and it’s real stations, and it’ll be the best TV deal that any non-WWE show has had since WCW.”
AEW will host a Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement on February 7, with the Double or Nothing event taking place May 25 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event will get underway at 6pm on Thursday, streaming live on AEW’s social media platforms, and some exciting new signings are expected to be revealed.
