UPDATE: Tony Khan has now stated that this is false and AEW has not made an offer to Adam Cole.
The Adam Cole saga has taken another turn this week, per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer.
Meltzer reports that those close to the situation have said that Cole is currently in the process of negotiating a new deal with NXT, but that AEW has also made an offer to Cole.
Meltzer adds that, as of mid-week, Cole had not agreed to either offer yet.
Cole returns to NXT on next week’s show to confront Kyle O’Reilly, seemingly to set up a match between the two at Takeover 36, which could end up being Cole’s swansong for the promotion.
