The news of AEW signing CIMA, who is also the President of Oriental Wrestling Entertainment, a promotion who are an affiliate of AEW, was also confirmed in the latest episode of the ‘Being The Elite’ YouTube series.
CIMA was already scheduled to appear at AEW’s ‘Double or Nothing’ event from Las Vegas on May, 25, teaming with two mystery partners from the OWE roster to take on Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SCU. However, now it has been confirmed that CIMA has signed a full-time deal with the new promotion.
This is good news for AEW, as it has been reported that their TV destination is pending on the strength of their roster. Someone with the experience of CIMA will no doubt be of benefit to the new promotion.
