Two AEW partners have entered a new business agreement that will see them work to develop the stars of both promotions.
AEW and Mexico-based CMLL have shared a partnership since October 2023, with stars from both companies appearing on shows.
With Stardom being the sister company of NJPW, the Japanese all-women’s promotion has also shared a partnership with AEW.
It has now been revealed that CMLL and Stardom will be working together, with the development of their respective stars in mind.
Revealed on CMLL Informa, Salvador Lutteroth of CMLL and Taro Okada of Stardom officially announced the partnership.
The partnership will see an exchange of wrestlers to aid the development of stars in both promotions.
At the time of writing, details are sparse as to when fans of CMLL and Stardom can expect to see a crossover of stars.
As for the partnership with AEW, a second-generation CMLL star will make their debut on the upcoming episode of Collision.
Mistico, the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, has recently revealed that he is open to signing with AEW.
With twelve championships to her name, AEW’s Mercedes Mone is the current CMLL World Women’s Champion.
