AEW Piping In Crowd Noise For Rampage? AEW

It is very obvious when watching even 5 minutes of AEW television that the crowds at AEW shows are rather hot, enjoying 90% of the product they watch on TBS every night.

The usual AEW television tapings begin with AEW Dark: Elevation, followed by the live Dynamite and then that week’s AEW Rampage episode, which is a long time to be sat watching wrestling.

AEW fans tuning in to this week’s Rampage noticed some inconsistencies with the live crowd, particularly for the AEW World Tag Team Championship match between Private Party and Swerve In Our Glory.

One fan took to Twitter, asking if AEW piped in crowd noise for their television, as the chants of ‘Swerve’s House’ didn’t match the demeanor of the live audience.

Dave Meltzer responded to the question, responding:

WWE were criticised back in 2021 of also piping crowd noise into their live shows, which they had been doing during the Thunderdome era of COVID-19.
