AEW are reportedly planning a return to an iconic venue, having previously had a festive run there in 2024.
The festive season in 2024 saw AEW run shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York, including ROH Final Battle on December 20.
It now appears that AEW are planning to make a return to the Manhatten Center venue, once again in December.
According to WrestleVotes in a Backstage Pass Q&A, the return would be around the holiday season, stating:
“I’ve learned through sources that they’re going to return to the Manhattan Center, Hammerstein Ballroom, this December like they did last year to rave reviews.
“So New York City, around the holidays AEW will be back in the Hammerstein Ballroom for a few episodes of their TV.”
During the ROH Final Battle post-show media scrum, Tony Khan revealed that he wanted to make a return to the Hammerstein Ballroom, reflecting on the venue’s history with Ring of Honor and professional wrestling.
Associated with ECW until 2006, the Hammerstein Ballroom would go on to host many ROH shows across the years as well as events from other independent companies, including the January 2025 The People Vs. GCW.
ROH Final Battle marked the first time Ring of Honor had been to Hammerstein Ballroom since 2019.
