John Cena’s final match takes place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, with AEW’s plans for that night’s Collision confirmed.
The December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will see John Cena face the winner of the ‘Last Time Is Now’ Tournament.
With Saturday night also being the evening that AEW Collision airs, details for the upcoming episode having confirmed whether both shows will go head-to-head.
A new press release from Warner Bros Discover, the broadcast partner of AEW, has provided details for HBO Max schedule plans for December.
It confirms that the December 13 episode of AEW Collision, which will emanate from Cardiff, Wales, will air at 4:30 p.m. – earlier than the start time of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
This means that AEW and WWE will not be going head-to-head on December 13, with time to spare between the end of Collision and the start of Saturday Night’s Main Event at 7.30 p.m. ET.
AEW owner Tony Khan has recently shared his thoughts on WWE and its counter-programming strategy, noting that “it’s always worked out” for his company.
