Huge Championship Match Set For First AEW House Rules AEW

A huge championship match has been set for the first AEW House Rules live non-televised show in Troy, Ohio on March 18.

Following his defeat of Rey Fenix on the March 17 episode of AEW Rampage, Powerhouse Hobbs issued an open challenge for his TNT Championship.

The open challenge would be answered by Christopher Daniels and the match has been set for AEW House Rules.

Although championship gold has so far eluded, Daniels he is a former Ring of Honor World Champion, World Television Champion, World Six-Man Tag Team Champion and four-time ROH World Tag Team Champion.

His career has seen him perform internationally, including NJPW, TNA/Impact Wrestling as well as early appearances in WWE and WCW.

He most recently appeared on AEW Dark: Elevation on March 1 2023, defeating Cole Karter.

Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wardlow to become the TNT Championship on the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, which also featured the returning QT Marshall.
