AEW Stars Praised By Tony Khan Following Major Dynamite Issues AEW

A number of AEW stars, including Jon Moxley, have been praised by Tony Khan following major issues around last night’s Dynamite.

Last night’s AEW took place in Omaha, Nebraska, and prior to the show, only a handful of matches had been officially advertised for the show, including an AEW Revolution rematch between Jon Moxley and Cope.

Prior to the show, there was a blizzard that prevented a lot of AEW stars from making the show, though all the advertised names were able to make the show.

Speaking about the issues on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that a number of AEW stars went above and beyond to make the show, which led to a lot of praise from Tony Khan.

He said:

“Everyone advertised got there but I was told a lot of people were not there. That’s one of the reasons the matches went so long is because a lot of the segments that were scheduled were scrapped.

“I heard a lot of people weren’t there but every single person who was advertised was there, and they did manage to deliver every match. It wasn’t easy but everybody got in.

“There were people who had to fly to Kansas City because they couldn’t land in Omaha, and drive from Kansas City. With Mercedes Mone, she had to drive in from Des Moines in the blizzard and everything.

“The feeling is, especially from Tony Khan, that he really felt that people went over and above because everybody tried and people went through a lot more. Jon Moxley being a key one.

“People went through a lot to get there when they easily could have said, ‘Look it’s just too much’. And I think he would have accepted that, but that didn’t happen. Everyone that was important to the show got there. Even on the Collision shows, every match they had advertised for Collision took place.”
