One of the producers at All Elite Wrestling who is given a lot of credit is Jerry Lynn. By all accounts, he is someone who is highly respected backstage, especially with younger talent.
Now, he has opened up about one of his wrestling pet peeves. During his recent appearance on AEW Unrestricted, Lynn spoke about the Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa Lights Out match. Co-host Aubrey Edwards brought up Baker wiping the blood from her eyes, something Lynn wasn’t a fan of.
Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:
“That’s a pet peeve of mine because then you’ve bled for nothing. I told them, if you’re bleeding, don’t let your forehead touch the canvas. Do not let your face touch the canvas because it’ll wipe it all off, and then you’ve lost the effect of building the drama.”
Jerry Lynn did note in the interview that he knew he would be the coach for the match about three weeks ahead of time.
Thunder Rosa was able to get the win in the match, whereas Baker has since fought to climb the AEW rankings where she is currently the number one contender.
