AEW’s QT Marshall has reacted to claims that William Regal ‘snaked out the competition’ after leaving WWE.
Regal was released from WWE in January 2022 and would make his AEW debut at Revolution in March of that year.
He would remain in the company until December 2022 and return to WWE as Vice President of Global Talent Development in January 2023.
Regal has recently commented on claims that he “‘snaked out the competition’ during his time in AEW stating that he “went to AEW to help because Bryan Danielson asked” him to.
He would make it clear that he didn’t attend production meetings and was available to anyone who wanted to train with him, and never asked about anybody’s contract status.
AEW’s Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination QT Marshall has now confirmed Regal’s statement about his time in AEW, tweeting:
“From an office employee who worked with him, everything said in this tweet is accurate.”

Marshall left AEW in late 2023 and would return to the company in February 2024 as a backstage figure.
Regal has also recently shared a heartfelt message about the impact of WWE NXT ahead of the brand’s move to The CW on October 1, 2024.
His message would thank Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom for fighting for the developmental brand.
He returned to WWE NXT TV in January 2024 to announce Ava as the new General Manager for the brand for which he served as GM between July 2014 and January 2022.
