Has a major future faction been revealed on tonight’s edition of AEW Rampage? It seems that we’re heading into a new Broken chapter!
While Matt and Jeff Hardy (with Brother Zay) appeared on AEW Rampage to respond to the happenings during the Firm Deletion match last week, they were interrupted with a challenge.
With Jeff Hardy saying that it was so good to be back and now the Hardy Boyz could move forward in becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions for the first time.
However, The Gunns interrupted harkening back to a previous backstage segment where they complained about not having gotten their title rematch.
After having walked away with Ethan Page, they announced in the ring that they would challenge the three-man team of Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and Brother Zay.
After Hardy countered that the only way they would accept was that if his team won, they then controlled the contract of Ethan Page. The Gunns then accepted this challenge on Page’s behalf after pausing to think it over.
This certainly seems like a strange way to put Ethan Page back together with the Hardy Boyz after all they have just been through however since Hardy and Page’s on-screen chemistry was so invigorating, it could absolutely make sense in the long run.
Oh also, Brother Zay’s moaning gimmick continues to escalate and it is amusing.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Rampage, Max Caster managed to incorporate the full name ‘Vince McMahon’ in his entrance rap. Click here to read more about how he achieved that linguistic feat.
