Whether it’s something you love or hate about the promotion, you can’t say AEW doesn’t give you value for money in terms of putting on as many matches as humanly possible within the time they’re given.
AEW Dynamite is often filled to the brim with matches, and it seems as though last week’s AEW Rampage went a bit too far and spilled over.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, Eddie Kingston vs. Daniel Garcia went about 22 minutes in person, but if you watched the edited version on TV, you’ll actually only have seen about 13 minutes of wrestling.
The report is that the show as a whole was edited heavily as it overran by a significant amount of time. Viewers have noted that the whole hour was relentless in giving as much actual wrestling content as humanly possible.
As a pre-taped show, it’s not unusual for AEW Rampage to be edited to fit the hour time slot, but it’s fair to say last week’s episode needed a lot more editing than usual.
The show was main-evented by TBS Champion Jade Cargill, who defeated Marina Shafir.
