AEW Rampage May 5 Set For New Time Slot

AEW Rampage May 5 Set For New Time Slot AEW

AEW’s current TV line-up of Dynamite, Rampage and All Access has seen it’s fair share of schedule changes in recent weeks, predominantly due to other sports such as the NBA and NHL.

While Rampage has jumped from a Friday to a Saturday on a few occasions including this past week’s episode (April 22) it will once again be back on a Friday on May 5, however, at another different time slot.

As confirmed by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer the May 5 edition of Rampage will air at the earlier time of 5:30pm ET, with the reason reportedly being TNT’s coverage of the NHL playoffs.

Meltzer wrote:

“Rampage on 5/5 will air at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time and likely 2:30 p.m. Pacific due to sports on TNT.”

This much earlier slot will mark the fourth consecutive week that the show has aired outside of its usual Friday 10pm Eastern slot, with the April 14 show airing at 9:42pm, the April 22 airing on Saturday and this week’s April 28 Rampage airing at 5:30pm Eastern.

As mentioned the reasoning for these changes comes largely down to the need for TNT and TBS to air numerous important sports fixtures, with Dave Meltzer going into further detail in a recent report.

AEW Rampage’s viewership figures for the April 22 show were its highest since September 2021 due in part potentially to its changed time slot.
