The AEW Dynamite Five-Year Anniversary was a noteworthy episode following the announcement of the company’s new TV rights deal with Warner Bros Discovery.

The show featured Bryan Danielson retaining the AEW World Title against Kazuchika Okada, Shelton Benjamin making his debut with the promotion and Jay White making his return to attack Hangman Page.

Also, the episode featured Christopher Daniels announcing that TNT Champion Jack Perry and AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks will face Katsuyori Shibata and Private Party in a trios match on the October 4 AEW Rampage.
