AEW Reached Out To Paige

Former WWE Diva’s Champion Paige (Saraya) has been a free agent for nearly three months now following her WWE departure on July 7, with her and the company not agreeing to a contract extension.

Paige has not appeared for any wrestling promotion since her departure from WWE, though she is set to serve as return to her family’s WAW promotion in Norwich next month, serving as the special referee for a bout between her brothers Roy Knight and Zak Zodiac.

Paige not showing up in another promotion is not due to a lack of interest, per Fightful Select (subscription required) All Elite Wrestling held talks with Paige over the summer.

While no additional details were given, one AEW name stated that they believe WWE would also have interest in bringing Paige back following the recent regime change.

Fightful was also told that while conversations didn’t lead anywhere at the time, things could have changed since then.

Paige hasn’t wrestled since her retirement back in 2018, but has stated that she would not be against it if the right situation came about.
