An AEW star has been pulled from television with creative no longer feeling they fit their role on AEW Dynamite.
With Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter currently feuding with Saraya & Toni Storm, the dynamics for Britt Baker have changed since her earlier work in AEW.
Embracing the “babyface red carpet“, the team of The Pillar & The Killer are the good guys in the battle with Saraya & Storm.
This has left Baker’s former associate, Rebel, at a bit of a loose end, however.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Rebel, saying:
“Rebel is no longer being used. We were told that with Baker and Hayter as babyfaces now that it was felt she didn’t work as part of that act at this point in time.”
Rebel joined AEW in August 2019 in a backstage role where she would remain until making her TV debut on AEW Dynamite as Britt Baker DMD’s “exclusive makeup artist” and personal assistant.
She would be a recurring character onscreen until she suffered a dislocated knee cap in June 2021, and then after she recovered until now.
