AEW Name Explains Recent Dynamite Absence AEW

Following the January 8 episode of Dynamite, AEW commentator Tony Schiavone has explained his recent absence from the show.

Many fans were curious about the whereabouts of Tony Schiavone after he was absent from the January 8 edition of AEW Dynamite.

After his recent tweet, some fans and critics speculated that Schiavone was suspended from the company after he made reference to suspended NJPW commentator Chris Charlton.

On the latest edition of What Happened When, Tony Schiavone provided some insight into his absence from AEW Dynamite.

Schiavone’s co-host Conrad Thompson revealed that Tony’s wife was getting hip replacement surgery on Wednesday, January 8. Joking that he got suspended instead of picking his wife up from the hospital, Schiavone said:

“Couldn’t have been it, no. No, as a matter of fact, she got out of the hospital on Wednesday, and so I just let her walk home from the hospital instead of picking her up, and I went to TV and got suspended. But she made it home about six hours later.”

Schiavone did confirm his wife Lois was recovering well from the surgery at this time.
