AEW has reportedly signed eSports host/announcer Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez as an announcer.
He tweeted earlier this week with a gif of a contract being signed, but made no reference as to what he had signed or who for.
Fans will recognise Mendez from Fyter Fest, where he provided commentary for the show alongside Jim Ross and Excalibur. This came as a result of the partnership between AEW and CEO Gaming, who helped put the event on.
Goldenboy made his name doing eSports commentary and also did commentary work for The Rock’s Titan Games on NBC.
