With AEW Forbidden Door taking place in London, England, on August 24, a tease has dropped for another international return.
Tony Khan recently revealed that he hoped to bring AEW back to the United Kingdom before summer next year, but now it has been revealed that there are plans for another international return.
Fans in Australia could be seeing AEW make a return to the country following Grand Slam, which took place on February 15 and saw “one of the biggest gates in (company) history“.
TEGSport dropped the tease on their official Twitter account, noting that “something big is coming very soon” and using the hashtag #AEWAustralia2026, in a post that reads:
“👀 Australia… are you ready for Round 2?
“Something big is coming VERY 🔜”
The post included a video of highlights from AEW Grand Slam Australia, and a link to the waitlist.
A second post would also be shared on the TEGSport Twitter account, with a graphic of Kyle Fletcher accompanying it and a message that reads:
“⚡️The wait is nearly over. Who’s ready?
“Sign up to be the 1st to know & score AEW Australia pre-sale 🎟️”
On the TEGSport page for the as-yet-undated AEW event, it was stated that the return would be “EPIC”, stating:
“AUSTRALIA — WE’RE BACK! 🔥
“AEW returns in 2026… and it’s going to be EPIC.
“The energy. The chaos. The spectacle. It all goes down right here.
“Don’t miss your shot, join the waitlist NOW to score access to the presale very soon and lock in your place when history is made Down Under.
“AEW. Australia 2026. Be ready.”
