AEW has hosted some major shows in Illinois recently. CM Punk returned to wrestling on the August 20 edition of Rampage in the United Center. During All Out on September 5, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Ruby Soho and NJPW’s Minoru Suzuki all made surprise appearances in the NOW Arena.
Adam Cole is set to make his AEW in-ring debut on this week’s episode of Dynamite. He last wrestled at NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22 against Kyle O’Reilly.
AEW make their New York debut next week for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. The promotion has announced their return to the area for December.
It was previously reported that AEW is confident in their roster’s ability to fill larger arenas moving forward.
