AEW
An AEW star has made their return to close tonight’s AEW Dynamite after having been off of television since August.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite, the Women’s World Championship was on the line as Mariah May looked to defend her title against Mina Shirakawa.
Thunder Rosa was shown at ringside holding signs and booing Mariah May, seemingly setting up a future match.
In the end, May picked up the pinfall victory with the Storm Zero to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.
After the match, there was a return as a familiar entrance theme played and commentary wondered if it was another one of May’s tricks.
However, it was in fact the return of Toni Storm – and not the ‘Timeless’ version.
With her pre-Timeless gear, look and entrance theme, Toni Storm made her return to AEW to stare down her former protege Mariah May.
With Storm coming out onto the ramp, Thunder Rosa in the crowd held up a sign reading “WTF?” while Mariah May looked on in shock.
This was Storm’s first appearance on AEW TV since May beat her for the Women’s World Championship at All In London
