An update has emerged on a star potentially set to return to AEW following appearances for other promotions during her time away from the company.
It was confirmed in November 2023 that AEW had signed Megan Bayne, who previously wrestled for the brand on Dark and Dark Elevation.
While under contract with AEW, Bayne wrestled for STARDOM, where she established herself ahead of returning to Tony Khan’s company.
It appears that Bayne’s AEW return will happen soon, with Fightful Select reporting that creative pitches have been made for Bayne regarding a potential AEW re-debut.
The report noted that “early indications” had Bayne in a heel role.
Bayne hasn’t wrestled for All Elite Wrestling since teaming with Emi Sakura in a losing effort against Maki Itoh & Willow Nightingale in a dark match at the June 7, 2023 Rampage taping.
Her last “televised” match for AEW saw her defeat Leila Grey on the January 3, 2022 edition of Dark Elevation.
In addition to STARDOM, Bayne has wrestled for the likes of GCW and Beyond Wrestling on the US independent scene during her AEW hiatus.
One of Bayne’s most recent opponents Willow Nightingale will be in action at Sunday’s (May 26) Double or Nothing pay-per-view, defending her TBS Championship against Mercedes Mone in the former WWE star’s AEW in-ring debut.
