AEW President Tony Khan has shared more information about the attendance and gate for AEW Revolution 2023.
The first AEW pay-per-view of 2023, Revolution emanated from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on Sunday, March 5.
Several big matches were advertised for the first AEW pay-per-view of 2023, including a 60-minute ironman match between Bryan Danielson and AEW World Champion MJF.
In the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan revealed that, with over 9000 people in attendance, 8000 of those tickets were paid.
It was also noted that the gate for the event was over $800,000, which is a record for the promotion in the city of San Francisco.
While this is lower than the November 2022 Full Gear pay-per-view, which had a gate over $1 million, it was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Revolution 2023 appears to have better numbers than Full Gear 2022 on streaming.
Also during the media scrum, Tony Khan addressed an incident between MJF and a young fan, which you can read more about at this link.
The full producer list for the show, revealing the backstage names who worked on each match, can be found right here.
