A top AEW star suffered a ruptured eardrum during his match at Revolution 2025, providing an update on their injury following the show.
A new AEW World Championship #1 contender was determined at the March 9 pay-per-view, with Swerve Strickland defeating Ricochet to establish himself as the top contender for Jon Moxley’s title.
Following Moxley defeating Cope and Christian Cage to retain the AEW World Championship, Strickland made an appearance to dive off a balcony onto Moxley and the security team.
Swerve Strickland has now confirmed that he suffered a ruptured left eardrum during the show.
During the post-show media scrum, Strickland opened his appearance by stating that he’s dealing with a ruptured eardrum, encouraging the media scrum attendees to be loud when asking their questions.
Strickland is no stranger to the AEW World Championship, notably holding the gold for 126 days in 2024.
He won the gold from Samoa Joe at Dynasty and defeated the likes of Will Ospreay, Claudio Castagnoli and Christian Cage before dropping the gold to Bryan Danielson in their Title vs Career match at All In London.
