AEW Trios Championship Plans For Revolution Confirmed AEW

A recent report has revealed that a teased AEW match has already been confirmed as the plan for AEW Revolution.

On the February 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, an AEW Trios Championship match was teased.

As reported earlier:

“In terms of matches that weren’t made official but were teased, a House of Black graphic flashed on the screen during a backstage segment with the Elite, so that’s likely the direction for the World Trios Championship.”

Dave Meltzer has now addressed the tease on Wrestling Observer Radio and confirmed that the tease of The Elite vs House of Black is more than just a tease.

The AEW World Trios Championship has been held for the second time by The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) since January 11 2023.

Their second reign would come following the defeat of Death Triangle (Pac, Penta El Zero M & Ray Fenix) in a ladder match in Jnauary, bringing an end to their Best of Seven Series.

They were also the inaugural champions, having defeated Hangman Adam Page and The Dark Order in the finals of the World Trios Tournament at All Out in September 2022.

Meltzer would state that the match is going to go ahead at AEW Revolution on March 5.

The AEW PPV will come from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California and will see multiple AEW championships on the line
