A popular AEW star has filed a trademark application for their ring name according to documents submitted in May 2023.
Under his own company, Dream Palace, LLC, Ricky Starks seeks to secure the trademark for this in-ring name.
According to the USPTO Report website, Starks filed his application on May 11 2023.
As noted, the trademark RICKY STARKS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.
In the update of May 15, the application was accepted by the office and has not yet been assigned to an examiner.Preview (opens in a new tab)
The Primary US Classes for the trademark are listed as:
022: Games, Toys and Sporting Good
039: Clothing
The Primary International Class is listed as:
025 – Primary Class
(Clothing) Clothing, footwear, headgear.
The Attorney of Record is listed as Michael E Dockins of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Toledo.
Dockins also has a trademark of his own, having registered the term Gimmick Attorney in June 2021.
