AEW Star Reacts To WWE Royal Rumble Backstage Photo

AEW star Ricky Starks appears to have reacted to the leaked photo of him backstage at WWE Royal Rumble 2023.

In a picture posted on social media, a security camera photo shows Starks alongside his mentor Cody Rhodes backstage at the Alamodome for WWE Royal Rumble.

The photo has been doing the rounds online, and has caught the attention of Starks.

Taking to Twitter, Starks made reference to the infamous GTV angle from the Attitude Era. Poking fun at the situation, he tweeted:

“Damn they brought back GTV 😂”

Starks was notably mentored by Cody Rhodes prior to Rhodes return to WWE in early 2022.

Rhodes went on to win the Royal Rumble match, last eliminating GUNTHER to earn a championship match at WrestleMania 39 in April.

The former AEW EVP has teased the return of a classic WWE Championship title design, ahead of the Show of Shows.

Some fans had speculated that The Rock would make his WWE return at Royal Rumble, with some even predicting that he’d win the match.

The Hollywood star has now revealed what he was actually doing while Royal Rumble was on the air.
