AEW star Ricochet is making his return to Japan for the first time since 2017 and is teaming up with CIMA.
Ricochet made his AEW debut on All In on August 25 and would face Kyle Fletcher in his Dynamite debut on August 28.
His WWE contract expired in July 2024 with Ricochet having previously stated he wouldn’t be renewing his deal.
He has previously revealed his reasons for leaving WWE after more than six years with the company to join AEW.
Ricochet has now been confirmed for an upcoming appearance in the Japan-based wrestling promotion GLEAT.
The announcement video can be seen below this news story, with CIMA delivering the news that they will be tagging together at GLEAT’s October 6 show in Osaka, Japan.
CIMA and Ricochet have a long history together in Dragon Gate having first teamed together as WARRIORS International back in September 2010 for Dragon Gate USA.
As WARRIORS, they would capture the Open The Triangle Gate Championship in December 2010 going on to win the Open The Twin Gate Championship in July 2011 as Spiked Mohicans.
Ricochet would also hold the Open The Brave Gate and Open The Dream Gate Championships in Dragon Gate before heading to WWE in January 2018.
His WWE career would see him hold the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WWE United States Championship and NXT North American Championship.
Ricochet would also be the inaugural WWE Speed Champion as part of the company’s partnership with the X social media platform.
