AEW
A current AEW champion has seemingly revealed a new name for their persona, according to a recent trademark filing.
Ricochet is the current AEW National Champion and has been signed with the company since August 2024, having previously been under contract with WWE.
Ricochet – real name Trevor Mann – has filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), with Michael Dockins as his listed attorney.
The filing covers the term “THE TRENDSETTER”, which is a term that features in the AEW star’s Twitter bio, but also features a curious line about “wrestling news”.
Under US Serial Number 99589371, the term is filed under the ‘Goods and Services” category of:
IC 041: Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer;
Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes;
Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;
Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer.
Ricochet formed an alliance with GOA (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona), with their faction name of ‘The Demand‘ also being trademarked last year.
