This AEW Star Won’t Be On Initial Roster For ‘Fight Forever’ Video Game AEW

An update has emerged on the upcoming AEW Fight Forever video game, with a notable omission from the game revealed.

In recent weeks, AEW Games has shared more gameplay footage for the company’s first console game.

Speaking with Fightful at WrestleCade, Evil Uno revealed what he knows about the upcoming release.

Evil Uno confirmed that the game’s official roster will feature over 50 AEW stars.

The Dark Order member revealed that Danhausen will not be one of the stars included in the release day version of Fight Forever, however.

Fightful noted that Danhausen appeared ‘a little too late’ to be included in the first run of the game, indicating that the cut-off date for finalising the game’s roster was before January 26, 2022, when Danhausen officially joined AEW.

This would therefore suggest that most 2022 AEW hires won’t make the initial release roster.

Evil Uno also told Fightful that he’s of the belief that the game will be a single release that constantly evolves over time, rather than a recurring series like the WWE 2K games, which are released annually.

The newer AEW names would likely be added to the game in the form of DLC following the game’s initial release.

It was recently confirmed that the current plan is for AEW to still have CM Punk as a playable character in the game, with AEW representatives recently informing Sportskeeda that if a character previously shown to be part of Fight Forever needs to be removed, AEW will announce the removal to fans.
