An AEW star wanted a match with a former WWE Champion at All In London 2024, however, an injury forced those plans to be delayed.
One of the top stars hoping to make their first Wembley Stadium appearance on August 25 was former TNT Champion Adam Copeland – with the Rated R Superstar featuring on the poster for the event as far back as last year.
Unfortunately for Copeland, he would suffer a broken leg at AEW Double or Nothing in May during his Barbed Wire Steel Cage match with Malakai Black following a diving elbow through a table towards the match’s conclusion.
With Copeland’s in-ring return date still uncertain, another AEW star absent from the All In London card: RUSH, has taken to Twitter to reveal that a one-on-one match with the WWE Hall of Famer was top of his wishlist for Wembley Stadium.
RUSH posted a picture of he and Copeland facing off backstage, along with a tease for the match to happen the next time All In comes to London in 2026.
RUSH wrote:
THIS WAS MY GOAL FOR THIS YEAR IN @wembleystadium
NOW IT WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 2026
WHAT DO YOU THINK?? #AEW
After losing to MJF in his first match back from injury back in June, RUSH joined The Don Callis Family – with his last match on TV coming on the August 14 episode of AEW Rampage.
