A former AEW TNT Champion has named Samoa Joe as a dream opponent, believing this match would be a really cool test.
Kyle Fletcher is no stranger to championships in AEW, being the TNT Champion until his loss to Mark Briscoe at Full Gear in November.
Currently in the Gold League of the Continental Classic, Fletcher has his eye on Samoa Joe, who happens to be the current AEW World Champion.
Speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Fletcher revealed Samoa Joe as the man he’d like to face, having watched his matches for more than a decade, saying:
“I really want to get in there with Samoa Joe. I think that would be a really cool one for me, and a really cool test.
“He’s someone I’ve been watching for a decade plus, so that’s someone that I would love to get in there with.”
Along with being the current AEW World Champion, Samoa Joe is a two-time TNT Champion and holds the World Trios Championship with Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs.
During the interview with Van Vliet, Fletcher would reveal that he and Mark Davis had talks with WWE before signing with AEW.
