A violent first-look at AEW’s Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth in the upcoming Peacock series Twisted Metal has been revealed.
Twisted Metal is described as:
“A half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”
In the series, Samoa Joe’s Sweet Tooth is voiced by Will Arnett and can be seen in this clip fighting John Doe (played by Anthony Mackie).
Mackie will be familiar to Marvel Studios fans as Sam Wilson, previously The Falcon and the current Captain America.
Will Arnett’s voice will be familiar to fans of The Lego Movie, where he was Batman.
In the first-lock video, Sweet Tooth and John Doe fight it out in a casino before The Thong Song brings them together.
Twisted Metal will be available to stream on Peacock from July 27, 2023.
