Two AEW Stars Returning From Injury Soon AEW

Two AEW stars are returning from injury soon, although one may not be in the same role that they previously occupied.

PAC was last seen on AEW television during the World Trios Title Best-of-Seven Series that ended in January 2023 with a victory for The Elite.

In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Dave Meltzer has addressed the on-screen return of PAC.

According to Meltzer, PAC has been “out of action due to getting his nose fixed that he was still wrestling on after it was injured to complete the best-of-seven series.”

PAC did work for Over The Top Wrestling in March 2023, working two matches at OTT ScrapperMania VII.

Jungle Boy Jack Perry recently named PAC as the AEW wrestler that he’d like to face at All In on August 27.

Dave Meltzer has also addressed Santana’s return to AEW, stating that “Santana is going to be ready to return soon.”

On the June 29, 2022 Blood & Guts episode of AEW Dynamite, Santana attacked Daniel Garcia only to land awkwardly and immediately fall to the ground in pain.

Tony Khan would later confirm that the Proud & Powerful member had suffered a knee injury and would be sidelined while he recovered.

As previously reported, Khan would continue to pay Santana during his ACL injury and rehab.

Prior to the injury, Santana had been publicly counting down to what many believed to be the expiration of his AEW contract.

It was also revealed that, around the same time, the relationship between Santana and his tag team partner Ortiz wasn’t a friendly one.

Meltzer observed that he’s not sure where Santana will fit into the current landscape of AEW, citing the “falling out” between Santana and Ortiz.

AEW Collision debuts on June 17 and will heavily feature CM Punk with involvement from Ace Steel, both of whom have had issues backstage at AEW.
