Update On Plans For New AEW Saturday Show Starring CM Punk

Update On Plans For New AEW Saturday Show Starring CM Punk AEW

A new update has emerged on the rumored AEW show, with the network the show will air on reportedly revealed.

Previous reports have indicated that AEW will soon launch a new Saturday show, likely called AEW Collision based on a trademark filing, with a returning CM Punk planned to be the top star of that show.

The plan is said to be to present the new show as equal to Dynamite in terms of star power, presentation, etc.

There have been reports of a planned ‘brand split’ between Dynamite and the Saturday show, largely as a way to keep people separate if they have issues with each other (like the Elite and Punk, but obviously there are others too). According to Dave Meltzer, the Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will be staying on Dynamite.

With Dynamite currently airing on TBS, and TNT serving as the home for Rampage, it was previously unclear where the new Saturday show would be airing.

Andrew Zarian now reports that TNT will be the home of the new show.

Zarian tweeted:

There’s a lot of speculation regarding where AEW Collision will air on Saturdays.

Despite TBS being rumored I’m being told that TNT will land the new show.

Zarian also noted that the likely time-slot would be 8-10pm ET.

An update has emerged on CM Punk’s planned AEW return date, which you can read more about right here.
