All Elite Wrestling star Shawn Spears has provided an update on his status amid his in-ring absence.
Spears returned to the ring in October, following five months away from the ring.
After teaming with FTR to defeat Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona on the October 14 edition of Rampage, Spears opened up about his absence, discussing the recent passing of his mother, and his wife Cassie Lee’s pregnancy.
Spears has taken to Twitter to provide an update on his AEW status. Replying to a post asking AEW where he has been, Spears noted:
Don’t hold your breath…
Not going there anytime soon.
Spears previously stated that he’s winding down, and doesn’t have a lot of time left in wrestling. He indicated that he doesn’t have much longer left on his AEW contract.
Cassie Lee announced her pregnancy in August, following her IMPACT Wrestling departure in April.
Spears recently shared the name that he and Lee have chosen for their new arrival.
