AEW’s Peter Avalon has taken to social media to announce that he underwent shoulder surgery about a week ago.
Avalon’s time with AEW goes back to the early days of the company in 2019, as he appeared as ‘The Librarian’ alongside Leva Bates.
He then moved away from the librarian gimmick and became ‘Pretty’ Peter Avalon, forming The Wingmen alongside Ryan Nemeth, JD Drake and Cezar Bononi.
Although his full-time AEW deal was believed to have expired a while back, Avalon is still listed on the official roster page and still works for AEW and ROH on a per-date basis according to the Wrestling Observer.
His most recent AEW TV match was in May 2024, while he last wrestled in ROH in October 2024.
In a new post on Threads, Avalon states that he recently underwent shoulder surgery, writing:
i had shoulder surgery last Tuesday & this sling I’m wearing is driving me LOCO
He also recently posted a photo on Instagram, noting he’s been “out of service” due to the surgery, as you can see below.
We wish Avalon all the best for his recovery.
