AEW President Tony Khan has now confirmed that Bandido has officially signed with the promotion.
During the November 11 edition of Rampage, Bandido scored a victory over RUSH in the first round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.
It was noted on commentary by Tony Schiavone that Bandido was officially a member of the roster, following recent speculation.
Following his win, Tony Khan confirmed that Bandido is All Elite, taking to Twitter with a new graphic, writing:
Congratulations @bandidowrestler! What a huge win moments ago on #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama tonight!!
Now it’s official: Bandido is ALL ELITE!
See you in Bridgeport at Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite on @TBSNetwork!
Per recent reports, the former ROH World Champion’s deal is for three years, with a maximum number of dates.
It was also noted that after receiving offers from both companies, Bandido chose to sign with AEW over WWE as his significant other doesn’t plan to move out of Mexico, and Bandido wants to be able to go home and see his child often.
Bandido has been a standout performer on the world independent scene for over a decade, notably holding gold for ROH, PWG, PROGRESS and more.
