A new AEW signing has been confirmed, with Tony Khan announcing that a former champion is now officially All Elite.
The March 7 edition of Collision saw Lee Johnson and Blake Christian of The Swirl face off against The Outrunners, LFI and eventual winners Private Party in a $200K four-way tag-team match.
While not victorious, The Swirl were celebrated by Tony Khan after the match, with the AEW President revealing that Blake Christian is officially All Elite.
Sharing an official All Elite graphic, Tony Khan took to Twitter to announce:
The Swirl, Vanilla Baby Blake Christian + @BigShottyLee, had another excellent showing on Saturday #AEWCollision tonight, and now it’s official: @_BlakeChristian is All Elite!
Blake Christian made his AEW debut on an episode of Dark in March 2022, and made his AEW TV debut on the September 2, 2022 edition of Rampage, losing to Rey Fenix in singles action.
It was reported in August 2022 that the former GCW World Champion was under an agreement with AEW, specifically tied to the Ring of Honor promotion.
The specifics of Christian’s new AEW deal have yet to be specified, however Tony Khan’s All Elite announcement suggests that he is now with AEW specifically full-time.
We will continue to provide updates on Blake Christian in AEW as they become available.
